KONA: Corners. Connect

Super excited to present our second Mumbai-Delhi outing, KONA: Corners. Connect, a compilation of corners we inhabit in cities. In the words of Leo Hollis, author of the bestseller, Cities are Good for You, ‘…we become more than the sum of our individual parts in our chosen or accidental corners and when that happens something extraordinary occurs…’

KONA is made of charged and shared corners of joy, disenchantment, distance, security, love, longing, comfort, reflection, rest, relief, dreams and more. They will draw you in and you will meet the cities and your own thoughts in someone else’s corner.

THE WAY

We called for submissions last October where people could talk about what corners of a city - physical or  metaphorical, mean to them, how they connect and  the emotions and thoughts they associate with them in 500-600 words max with an accompanying image. We got quite a few submissions from which we chose a few and KONA took shape.

THE WHY

Corners tell a compelling city story. They are pause points in the flow of cities, they turn, they stop, there is interplay of architecture, design, subtleties and complexities - providing a very interesting way to look at cities - from the sides, literally. We wanted to build a small work around this thought and when the idea struck we out it out there.

THE WHO(s)
